A New Era: Embracing the Power of a Conservative Mandate

With Trump’s decisive victory, winning both the popular vote and the Electoral College, the political landscape has dramatically shifted. The Senate is now in GOP hands, and the House may well follow. This broad conservative support reflects a rare, unified mandate from the people to pursue a conservative vision for the nation. For socially conservative Christians, this moment brings both a unique opportunity and a serious responsibility to steward this trust wisely and faithfully.

This vote was about choosing policies that support our freedom to practice faith and defend what we believe strengthens society. While I, like many, have concerns about Trump’s personal style, this decision was guided by the policies that align with my convictions—not personalities. Under Trump, conservative policies can protect our parental rights, preserve religious liberties, and resist harmful ideologies encroaching on the family. Ultimately, this vote is a step toward a nation grounded in values that serve and uplift all.

As we give thanks for this moment, it’s critical to reflect on what could have been. The liberal candidate’s policies—hidden behind the language of “equity” and “progress”—threatened to infringe upon religious freedoms. The proposed Equity Act would have forced religious institutions to adopt practices that directly contradict core beliefs, essentially dismantling religious protections. Proposed federal abortion expansions would have undermined the sanctity of life, and other policies were likely to restrict conscience rights. On the horizon, issues like transgenderism in schools further illustrate the challenges to biblical convictions, with many schools pushing ideologies that undermine parental influence and confuse students about fundamental truths.

One of the most concerning challenges is the progressive agenda entrenched within public education. Over recent years, we’ve seen curricula that promote a worldview directly opposed to traditional values and morality. From revising history through ideological lenses to pushing progressive gender and sexuality views on impressionable students, the education system has increasingly acted as a conduit for the secular agenda. Now, with this victory, we can boldly engage with the education system to ensure that public schools respect parents’ roles, truth, and convictions.

This election thus marks a turning point, a chance to reclaim and protect religious expression, parental authority, and traditional values within public policy. Social conservatives now have both the means and the responsibility to advance a moral vision that upholds a society grounded in truth, justice, and moral duty.

It’s clear that a sizable portion of the country desires change, and they’ve handed conservative leaders the mandate to enact it. Yet, while we celebrate this win, it’s critical to approach it without arrogance. A governing majority can be a two-edged sword: it can lead to meaningful, positive reforms or, if mishandled, alienation and backlash. So, as we move forward, let us hope and pray for wisdom and humility, yet confident and ambitious leadership.

For Christians, this victory calls us to advance a conservative agenda that strengthens our nation and seeks to honor God. From our homes, workplaces, and communities to the state and nation, we must highlight areas needing a righteous touch and work to glorify God in every sphere of society. This means actively engaging in the social sphere and openly championing policies that prioritize parental rights in education, life for the innocent, care for the marginalized, assistance to the poor, welcoming the refugees, strengthening family bonds, and protecting religious institutions from government interference. This is not merely a political endeavor but a moral one. Our aim is to show how a nation governed with respect for tradition and faith can lead to a stronger, more cohesive, and flourishing society.

Our allegiance is to God’s Kingdom first, recognizing that our work here is temporary. America is not a new Jerusalem; it’s a flawed nation capable of great good or great harm. This victory is an opportunity, not a conclusion. The ultimate transformation we seek is spiritual, and while policies guide actions, only faith changes hearts.

As we move forward, let our prayers be filled with gratitude, humility, and purpose. The power handed to us isn’t just a chance to make laws; it’s an opportunity to serve and lead by example, showing that a society rooted in godly principles is a place where people can thrive. This victory is not about reveling in power but about using that power responsibly, with the understanding that to whom much is given, much is required.

This is the time to prove that biblical principles can shape a culture where liberty, justice, and faith are lived out—not just ideals, but realities. We have been given this mantle—now let us bear it responsibly, confident in our calling but humble in our approach, striving to honor God in all that we undertake.
